Terms & Conditions

  1. By clicking on “I agree to Terms & Conditions” you are agreeing to go through with the hire of your dress and are also agreeing to Cape Town Dress Hire’s terms and conditions
  2. Each dress rented is for a period of 4 days only. If a customer wants an extension, an additional charge will be applied of R100 a day. If the dress is returned late, a penalty of R100 per day late will be charged to the customer’s credit card.
  3. It is the customer’s responsibility to get the dress back to us on time by the return date stated above. CTDH will arrange a courier time and will arrange a convenient time with the customer the day before collection. If the dress isn’t successfully collected at the arranged time, it is up to the customer to send it back to us and cover the charge or drop it off at our showroom.
  4. The dress price listed on the website is the full hire fee of the dress. This is non-refundable and non-negotiable.
  5. The same dress hire fee will be charged as a deposit which will be refunded once the dress is returned.
  6. If the dress is not returned or damages are incurred, the customer will be held liable and charged the full retail price for the dress.
  7. The hire fee includes a dry cleaning charge as well as shipping to the customer.
  8. Cape Town Dress Hire will examine the dress before it leaves dispatch and will examine it on its return to insure that it is in good condition. It will be up to Cape Town Dress Hire to say whether the dress is not up to it’s original state that it left dispatch in.
  9. If the dress does not fit, the customer must return it to us on the same day it is received in order to get a full refund.
  10. The original CTDH tag must still be on the garment in order to qualify for the refund.
  11. The customer has up until 7 days before the wear date to cancel the booking for a full refund.
  12. We will send the dress off 2 days before the hire date selected, normal courier time is 2 days. If you require the dress a day or two before your event then be sure to list your wear date above as a day or two earlier.
  13. Cape Town Dress Hire is a business in the retail industry that hires our designer dresses.
  14. Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 2 working days and delivery confirmed by way of an order confirmation email.
  15. The offering on this website is available to South African clients only.
  16. The provision of goods and services by Cape Town Dress Hire is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Cape Town Dress Hire will refund the client in full within 30 days. Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 50% administration fee if less than 7 days notice is given.
  17. Cape Town Dress Hire shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).
  18. Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express Cards or by bank transfer into the Cape Town Dress Hire’s bank account, the details of which will be provided on request. 
Please note if making an EFT payment your order will only be processed once we receive proof of payment.
  19. Card transactions will be acquired for Cape Town Dress Hire via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. DPO PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
  20. Customer details will be stored by Cape Town Dress Hire separately from card details which are entered by the client on DPO PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on DPO PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.
  21. The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
  22. Cape Town Dress Hire takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
  23. This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Cape Town Dress Hire chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.
  24. Cape Town Dress Hire may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
  25. This website is run by Cape Town Dress Hire (PTY) LTD based in South Africa trading as Cape Town Dress Hire and with registration number 2018/547976/07 and Taryn Morris (Director/Owner).
  26. If the customer has a problem with the dress when they receive it, the customer is required to report this issue to Cape Town Dress Hire upon arrival of the dress otherwise the customer will be held liable for the fault of the dress.

 

Shipping & Delivery 

  • When selecting your “hire date” please be sure to select the date you want the dress to arrive at you and not your actual event date
  • Shipping to Cape Town takes one working day or if ordered before 11am same day delivery can be arranged
  • Delivery to all major cities is 2-3 days
  • Rural areas, outskirts and non main cities may incur additional shipping charges and delivery times may be a day longer
  • Please note delivery & collections do not operate on weekends
  • If you wish to receive the dress quicker an additional charge of R300 will be applied for overnight shipping costs.
  • We send the dress out 2 days before your hire date so it arrives at you at your chosen date
  • If you wish to return the dress to us if it doesn’t fit or if you aren’t happy we will send our courier the same day it arrives at you to collect or if too late it must be collected by us before 12pm the next day in order to qualify for your full refund
  • Your hire fee will only be refunded if the dress tag is still on
  • 4 days after your hire date we will arrange our courier to collect from you
  • Once we receive the dress back we will examine it to make sure it is in it’s original condition and we will then process your refund
  • Please note we DO NOT ship on weekends. If your delivery date falls on a Saturday or Sunday we will deliver the dress to you on the Friday. For last minute and same day hires on a Saturday or a Sunday, please contact us so we can arrange a special request collection from our dispatch office for you info@capetowndresshire.com.
  • A R200 shipping fee will be deducted if the customer requires a full refund. This is to cover courier costs
